comfort cooking


No matter what is happening in my life, I always find myself gravitating towards the kitchen and creating new recipes and enjoying the process of cooking. Today was one of those days. I started out with the intention of making grilled flank steak with a cold Asian noodle salad but ended up with this, grilled flank steak with some caramelized onions and a bamboo shoot, edamame, bell pepper salad.


I'm glad I get to have days like this where the kitchen isn't the source of stress and tension, as it usually is at school. At home, I enjoy taking whatever ingredients I have in my fridge and creating something new and tasty from them. Happy Sunday everyone.
